Scrap metal services from Forge Recyclers

Brisbane scrap metal buyers who come to you

Forge Recyclers buys ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, and we collect it from your site. Copper wire from a switchboard job, brass fittings from a plumbing van, stainless steel from a commercial kitchen, steel from a fabrication shop or a pallet of catalytic converters: send us photos and we reply with a quote.

There is no trailer to hire and no queue at a yard. We load it where it sits. Read how a scrap metal pick-up works.

Why businesses sell their scrap to Forge Recyclers

  • We pick up. Your team keeps working while we collect from your site.
  • A quote before anything moves. Send photos, get a quote back, then the pick-up.
  • One trip for every metal. Copper, brass, aluminium, steel, cable, motors, batteries and converters go together.
  • Prices you can follow. We price by the metal, its grade and the weight, and we tell you what would lift it.

Running a workshop, a factory or a building site? Ask about business pick-ups, one-off or regular.

Scrap metal recycling that pays

Every load we buy goes to metal recycling, not landfill. Steel, aluminium, copper and the rest are melted down and made into new metal, again and again. For a business in any industry, that turns scrap into income and keeps metal out of the skip. Scrap metal prices follow the market, so we quote each load on the day. Our page on scrap metal prices shows how each grade is priced.

Three steps to sell your scrap metal

  1. Send photos and details

Call us, or fill in the quote form and add a few photos: what you have, roughly how much, and your suburb.

  2. Get your quote

We reply with a quote for your load. If you are happy with it, we book the pick-up.

  3. We pick it up

We collect from your site and pay you for the metal. You stay on the job.

Ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal we buy

Ferrous metals contain iron and non-ferrous metals don't. One pick-up can take both: tap a metal to see what we take.

Non-ferrous metals

No iron in them, so a magnet won't stick. They are worth more per kilo than steel.

Ferrous metals

Steel and iron, which a magnet sticks to, and stainless steel, an iron alloy graded on its own.

Mixed-metal items

Things made of more than one material, such as cable, motors and converters.

Stacked bales of compressed aluminium scrap

Questions about selling scrap metal in Brisbane

What scrap metal do you buy?

Copper, brass, aluminium, steel and iron, stainless steel, electrical cable, electric motors, radiators, lead-acid batteries, white goods and catalytic converters. Mixed loads are fine. Each metal has its own page, such as copper and brass, showing what we take.

Do you pick up, or do I bring it in?

We pick up. Forge Recyclers collects from your site, workshop or job, so you do not need a trailer or a trip to a yard. We do not have a drop-off yard at the moment.

How do I get a quote?

Call us, or fill in the quote form on any page. Add a few photos of the metal and press send, and we reply with a quote.

How much is my scrap metal worth?

It depends on the metal, how clean and sorted it is, and the weight. Metal prices move with the market, so we quote each load on the day. Clean, sorted metal earns more. Our page on scrap metal prices explains what lifts a price.

Do you buy catalytic converters?

Yes, one at a time or a whole stockpile. Send photos and the code stamped on each converter, and we quote the lot. See catalytic converters.

Which areas do you cover?

From the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane to the Gold Coast, including Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan and the Redlands. Enter your postcode on this page, or see the areas we cover.

Do you collect from homes?

Not at the moment. We collect from trades and businesses: workshops, factories, building sites, demolition jobs and trade businesses.

Do I need to sort my metal first?

No, we take mixed loads. Sorting does lift the price, because clean, separated metal grades higher. Keeping copper, brass and steel apart is a good start.
